Thumbprint Hummingbird Feeder
Handbuilt stoneware hummingbird feeder with modernist thumbprint surface texture characteristic of midcentury studio pottery. Feeder is slab built and high fired, with stoneware slip and glaze brushwork. High gloss red glazing sets off the petal embellishments to attract the attention of the hummingbirds.
Feeder is available hanging, although it’s pictured here pole mounted. Copper hanging wire will be embellished with clay beads as pictured in images 4-6. Hanging wire is 6’ in length unless specified shorter.
8 × 5.5 × 5.5”
An integrated nectar reservoir within the top portion of the feeder is glazed with a foodsafe high gloss glaze for easy refilling and cleaning. Birds access necar through small holes in the top surface of the feeder, which are highlighted in bright red glaze.
Made to order. Please contact me for current lead time if your need/project is time sensitive. My lead time varies widely from weeks to months depending on how many projects I have in the works at any given time.
